PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seam welding method by which hermetic seal is made sure by preventing the generation of splashes. SOLUTION: In the seam welding method by which a metallic cover is welded to a vessel main body by arranging a subject 3 to be welded consisting of a rectangular vessel main body 4 and the metallic cover 5 on a working table 1 and bringing a pair of electrode rollers 2 into contact with the opposite sides of the metallic cover and energizing them, the whole periphery of the subject to be welded is continuously welded by rotating the subject to be welded which is brought into contact with the pair of the electrode rollers.
