PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an influence of LPP at the time of forming synchronous information in an optical disk device having land prepits (LPP) of such as DVD-R/RW. SOLUTION: An encoder of a DVD-R/RW drive records data while inserting 14T synchronous information of at the head of a synchronous frame. The encoder 18 sets i-th (i is an integer not less than 0) and (i + 1)th synchronous information among continuous multiple times to a mark or a space so that each DSV becomes minimum, and sets the synchronous information so that (i + 2)th synchronous information has the reverse polarization of the i-th synchronous information, and that (i + 3)th synchronous information has the reverse polarization of the (i + 1)th synchronous information. Thus, in any synchronous information of the odd-numbered frames or the even-numbered frames, synchronous information on one frame of the two frames is set so as to be always a space.
