PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for wet development having a predetermined sensitivity over a prolonged period of time and excellent in durability and solvent resistance, and to provide an image forming apparatus for wet development. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor for wet development has a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a stilbene derivative having an enamine of a specified structure at each molecular terminal represented by general formula (1) as a hole transport agent. The image forming apparatus for wet development is equipped with such an electrophotographic photoreceptor for wet development. In the general formula, X is a divalent organic group containing an aromatic ring; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each alkyl or the like; R<SP>3</SP>is alkyl or the like; and R<SP>4</SP>is alkyl or the like, or -OR<SP>5</SP>(R<SP>5</SP>is alkyl or the like).
