<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular bearing device having simple construction for securing the rigidity of an outer ring member without an increase in weight while achieving sealing performance and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular bearing device comprises the outer ring member 11 mounted on a knuckle arm 8 of a strut suspension 1, a hub 22 having a hub flange 25 opposed to a front end 11c of the outer ring member 11 and adapted to be rotationally driven by a driving shaft 34, a plurality of rigid balls 16 arranged between outer ring raceways 13a, 13b of the outer ring member 11 and inner ring raceways 23a, 23b of the hub 22, and an oil seal 18 for sealing between the front end of the outer ring member 11 and the hub 22. An annular member 31 is pressed and mounted in the front end of the outer ring member 11. The front end of the outer ring member 11 is reinforced by the annular member 31. Mud water is received by the outer ring member 11 to avoid the oil seal 18 from being directly splashed with the mud water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
