PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silicate phosphor in excellent productivity without requiring dilution of a slurry in a drying step, and without requiring cracking of a dried product obtained in the drying step before a firing step. SOLUTION: The method for producing the silicate phosphor comprises a step for preparing a slurry by carrying out wet-milling and mixing of two or more kinds of metal compounds including silicon oxide to prepare the slurry, a step for drying the slurry, and a step for firing the dried product. The slurry is fed to a fluidizing chamber for fluidizing many particles of a medium by blowing in hot air at 200-350°C, and the solid component in the slurry is continuously collected as dried particles having≤3 mm maximum particle diameters.
