PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear device of simple constitution, dispensing with a ring gear, and to provide a transmission formed by connecting the planetary gear devices in several stages and capable of taking out rotation of various change gear ratios. SOLUTION: This transmission comprises a sun gear rotatable integrally with a spindle, at least one planetary gear engaged with the sun gear, a guide member supporting the planetary gear and rotating integrally therewith, and a supporting member for supporting the sun gear, the planetary gear and the guide member, a pair of pins are respectively implanted in both side faces of the planetary gear, and the supporting member has a control groove engaged with the pair of pins for controlling rotation of the planetary gear.
