<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common curtain air bag device capable of being installed in a vehicle even if the size of the vehicle body, the size and the shape of a center pillar garnish appear variously. <P>SOLUTION: A folded-up curtain air bag 10 is installed along a roof side rail 5. Over a B-pillar 3, a guide air bag 20 is arranged between the roof side rail 5 and the curtain air bag 10. With inflation of the guide air bag 20, the air bag 10 moves toward inside the room over a B-pillar garnish 6. Over the front door and the rear door, the guide air bag 20 is arranged straddling the indoor side faces and the upper surface of the curtain air bag 10, and the air bag 10 is inflated downward under guidance of the air bag 20 inflated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
