<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous transmission network system in which each node determines automatically a master station supplying an optimal clock. <P>SOLUTION: The synchronous transmission network system according to the present invention comprises a plurality of nodes including multiple clock supply nodes, wherein all nodes synchronize and perform data transmission using a clock supplied from one of the clock supply nodes as acting a master. Each of the clock supply nodes comprises a transmitting portion for transmitting a quality request message to all other nodes, a receiving portion for receiving a quality response message from all other nodes, a quality determination portion for determining a clock supply quality information, a notification portion for notifying the clock supply quality information to another clock supply nodes used as the master, and a node determination portion for determining an optimal clock supply node having the best clock supply quality, based on the clock supply quality information and its own clock supply quality information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
