PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly open/close an opening part of a vessel main body by a lid without being affected by temperature change. SOLUTION: This pressure vessel is provided with the pressure resistant vessel main body 1 of which one end 11 in the axial direction A has the opening part 12 and which can store high-temperature high-pressure fluid, and with the lid 2 relatively advancing/retreating with respect to the opening part 12 of the vessel main body 1 and opening/closing the opening part 12. The one end part 11 of the vessel main body 1 is supported by right and left end parts (portions) in the axial direction A with the axial direction A toward the horizontal (lateral) direction. Respective right and left end parts of the one end part 11 are supported by first support means (support means) 3 having first linear guides (displacement absorbing members) 31 absorbing displacement to the lateral direction B.
