The passage of a cable, tube or pipe [2] through a wall is made using a hole much larger than the cable. An effective seal is obtained using a flexible material sealing sleeve [1]. The seal has formed lips [8] that press against the underside of the wall plate [4] and has a large flange [5] sealing the top surface.
