PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an approach prevention device free from the troubles of the falling down of the device from a construction and the damaging of small animals flying to the construction. SOLUTION: The small animal approach prevention device 1, 10 or 12 is provided with a strip-shaped base part 7 having a plurality of protrusions 7b, 7d, and rod members 2 are integrated into the row of a plurality of holes 7i opened along the width of the base part 7 and protruded from the base part 7. A cap is attached to the tip part 2b of the rod member 2, and a wire 9 is attached to the hole 7f of a raised part 7c between protruded parts 7b, 7d. The approach prevention device is fixed by bonding the base part 7 to a construction (porch of a house, roof of a building, etc.) and fixing the wire 9 extending along the longitudinal direction of the base part 7 to the construction (porch of a house, roof of a building, etc.).
