PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable one-way clutch in the transmission of rotation power. SOLUTION: In the one-way clutch 3, when the width dimensions of a radial outside part 7 and a radial inside part 8 of a sprag 4 are set to W1, W2 respectively, and the minimum width dimension of a body 9 is set to W0, a width dimension W3 of a window 5a of a retainer 5 for sprag retaining is set to the value satisfying the relationship W0<W3<W1, W2.
