<p>The invention relates to processes for the preparation of polymorphic forms of efavirenz. More particularly, it relates to the preparation of Form I and Form II of efavirenz. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions that include the Form I of efavirenz and use of said compositions for treatment of HIV-1 infections in combination with other antiretroviral agents.</p>
