PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name tag attachment assisting implement capable of attaching a name tag in the state of facing the front by preventing the opening part edge of a pocket from hanging down even in the case of attaching the name tag to the opening part edge of a chest pocket of a shirt or the like, being attached to the pockets in various kinds of sizes and preventing the appearance of the pocket after it is attached from becoming unsightly, and also provide a name tag structure provided with it, and a method of attaching the name tag. SOLUTION: The name tag attachment assisting implement H1 is provided with an extension/contraction body 1 and a rubber band 2. The extension/contraction body 1 is provided with two flexible planar bodies 10 and 11 in a rectangular shape. The rubber band 2 is attached to the planar bodies 10 and 11 so as to make energizing force act in a restoration direction at the time of shortening the length of the extension/contraction body 1.
