The invention relates to an extrusion head of the fixed centring type, for producing a thermoplastic jacket around a cable which runs axially. This extrusion head includes a suction (venting) zone extending into an axial cavity 12 of the cable guide 2 and connected to an air vent 13. In the suction (venting) zone, the cable is supported by means of an internal die 20 including a support bush 21 which is fixed at the rear of the extrusion head. The support bush is equipped with at least one sealing ring 26 which surrounds the cable. Such an extrusion head can be used in the cabling industry, especially for producing jackets on cables whose diameter exceeds 15 mm. <IMAGE>
