<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with substrates having different thicknesses. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical head device provided with a light source, an optical lens system, and a photodetector, the optical lens system is provided with a refractive lens and a liquid crystal cell for modulating the phase of a light incident on the optical lens, and the aberration due to the difference in the thicknesses of transparent parts is corrected by modulating the phase of the light by the liquid crystal cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
