PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping material which has excellent vibration damping characteristics at the frequency band of 1000Hz or higher, with light weight, and is suitably applied, especially, to automobiles which requires light weight. SOLUTION: Relating to the vibration damping material, a foamed adhesive layer is integrally laminated on one surface of a thermoplastic resin foamed sheet. So, the vibration energy transmitted to the vibration damping material is smoothly absorbed by the synergy effect of rigidity of the thermoplastic resin foamed sheet and viscoelasticity of the foamed adhesive layer, to exhibit excellent vibration damping characteristics.
