<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module socket that permits not only good electrical/optical connection from the outside but also optical module temperature control. <P>SOLUTION: An optical module socket 1 comprises a base 2 for placing an optical module 10, a hoisting means 4 placed in this base 2 in a way that it can be moved up and down freely and can be loaded with an optical module 10, a holding means 3 for holding the optical module 10 at a predetermined position, a pogopin 21 placed in the base 2 and connected with the lead 11 of the optical module 10, and positioning means for optical transmission means 31 and 41 placed in the holding means 3 and the hoisting means 4 which position an optical connector 90 to be connected to the optical module 10 for that optical module 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
