HARD DISK DRIVE, METHOD FOR DECIDING DATA FORMAT OF HARD DISK DRIVE AND COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIA RECORDING THE METHOD

A hard disk drive, a method for deciding data format of a hard disk drive, and a computer program recorded medium for carrying out the method are provided to increase reliability of a hard disk drive against external shock and vibration by selecting whether data is to be recorded from or to the inner track to or from the outer track on a disk. A larger LBA(logical block address) than an LBA of a sector remaining in one data zone in the inner/outer side than the data zone is applied to the sector remaining in one data zone of the disk according to a first/second data format. The first/second data format records the data sequentially from the inner/outer data zone to the outer/inner data zone of the disk based on center data zones(12a~12e,13a~13e,16a~16e,17a~17e) between the innermost and the outermost section of the disk.
