PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of increasing processing speed. SOLUTION: This image processing system has: a DRAM 11 primarily storing image data; a DRAM control part 12 performing read/write control of the DRAM 11; image processing parts 15a, 15b, 15c performing prescribed image processing to the image data; an image input part 13; an image output part 14; and a cache system 10 disposed between the DRAM control part 12 and the image processing parts 15a, 15b, 15c, transferring the image data. The cache system 10 performs look-ahead operation by first-out of a read address to the DRAM 11, and write-back operation wherein data are written later in a lump. The image data inputted/outputted from the image processing parts 15a, 15b, 15c, the image input part 13 and the image output part 14 are read/written by the DRAM 11 through a read cache 21 or a write cache 22 by DMA.
