A duster (for vinyl records, compact discs, digital video discs, and laser discs) having a padded base ( 1 ) which is composed of two sheets of a velvet/linen material ( 2 ) enclosing a cushioning material ( 3 ). Additionally, the velvet/linen material is ribbed ( 4 ). The duster also has an elastic strap ( 5 ) that is affixed to opposite sides of the rectangular base. The strap is affixed to the base in a manner that makes each side of the base symmetrical in relation to the strap, allowing the base to be inverted while maintaining the space between the strap and the base ( 6 ) and the functionality of the strap.
