PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method and a device of a vehicle, capable of measuring the vehicle torque while operating the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the operation method of the vehicle (15) to determine the torque, a torsion angle in at least one drive shaft (1; 5; 10) of the vehicle (15) is measured, and the torque transmitted via at least one drive shaft (1; 5; 10) is determined as a function of the measured torsion angle. The operation device (65) of the vehicle (15), which has a torque measuring unit (70) to determine the torque of the vehicle, is provided with a measuring unit (75) to measure the torsion angle in at least one drive shaft (1; 5; 10) of the vehicle (15), and a decision unit (80) to decide the torque transmitted via at least one drive shaft (1; 5; 10) as the function of the measured torsion angle.
