PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking checking system which does not consume labor or time for setting, and dispenses with door modification, and to provide a magnetic transition sensor for use in the system. SOLUTION: The locking checking system is comprised of a locking sensor 2, a controller CPU 3, and a radiophone unit 4. The locking sensor 2 detects the position of a locking knob RN, based on a change in magnetism of a permanent magnet MB mounted in the locking knob RN of a locking mechanism RM. The controller CPU 3 determines whether the locking mechanism RM is in a locking mode or a unlocking mode, based on an output signal from the locking sensor 2, and outputs a locking mode signal, based on a result of determination upon reception of a request signal. The radiophone unit 4 is connected to a communication line by radio, and upon reception of the request signal from a predetermined communication means via the communication line, outputs the request signal to the controller CPU 3. Then, upon reception of the locking mode signal from the controller CPU 3, the radiophone unit 4 transmits the locking mode signal to the predetermined communication means via the communication line.
