摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet recorder which can effectively remove foreign matter such as ink adhered to a nozzle periphery without damaging a nozzle ejection face, and to obtain an ink ejection nozzle cleaning method used in the inkjet recorder. SOLUTION: A passage plate 82 is adhered to a surface 12A by raising a passage forming member 80. Thus a cleaning liquid passage R as a sealed space is constructed between each nozzle groove 16 and a passage groove 84. A pump P is operated, and a cleaning liquid C is supplied from a cleaning liquid tank into the cleaning passage R through a supply port 86. The interior of the cleaning passage R is filled with the cleaning liquid C. The supplied cleaning liquid C flows from the supply port 86 side to a discharge port 88 side, and is discharged from the discharge port 88 to reach a discharge tank. At this time, a stream of the cleaning liquid C is generated in the cleaning passage R, so that the ink sticking to the periphery of the nozzle 18 exposed to the cleaning passage R is dissolved by the cleaning liquid C.
