PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the time of conducting handoff, from a wireless LAN to another network. SOLUTION: In a wireless communication device which communicates in a wireless local area network, error information in a communication link between the radio communication device, and another device of the wireless local area network is determined in the second layer architecture of the radio communication device (214).
