<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect and store medical information efficiently and to transmit the medical information at need by using an inexpensive and compact configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The subject medical information collecting system comprises a communication I/F 43 for carrying out communication with one or more medical devices, a first memory 44 for temporarily storing history information on a medical device obtained by the communication I/F 43, a control section 40, and a second memory 45. The control section determines whether or not history information similar to the history information on the medical device obtained by the communication I/F 43 is already acquired, or determines whether or not the content of the history information on the medical device obtained by the communication I/F 43 is different from the content of the latest history information among already acquired similar history information.
