PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector capable of detecting precisely a concentration of a detection object gas, according to the region of detection object. SOLUTION: This gas detector is provided with a catalytic combustion type gas sensor and a semiconductor type gas sensor as gas sensors. The concentration of the detecting objective gas is detected by the semiconductor type gas sensor, in the concentration, where a change rate of a concentration output characteristic in the catalytic combustion type gas sensor is lower than the rate of change of the concentration output characteristic in the semiconductor type gas sensor, and the concentration of the detecting objective gas is detected by the catalytic combustion type gas sensor, in a concentration where the rate of change of the concentration output characteristics in the catalytic combustion type gas sensor is higher than the rate of change of the concentration output characteristics in the semiconductor type gas sensor.
