PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish an inexpensive constitution with a long life making a strut lateral cross section size relatively small and capable of being easily lifted by a simple constitution in which a motor is not used when a high position installation object is lifted. SOLUTION: On an upper end of a counterweight 13, four rotation suppression bars 151, 152, 153 and 154 made of acrylic resin are crossed to a side surface of a body part 130 formed by a square steel pipe and are assembled such that an inner side draws a square, and each of them is thread-attached to each side surface of the body part to constitute a rotation suppression part. The counterweight 13 further has a grip 16 of a square steel pipe on a side surface at an opening 131 side of the body part and is melted to the side surface through a spacer 160 of a short square steel material at three positions of an upper end, a lower end and an intermediate part. Pins 171 and 172 are standingly provided on an upper end and a lower end of the side surface of the counterweight respectively and a turning part of latch mechanisms 173 and 174 is pivotally supported on them.
