<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop idling even when capacity between cells is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: A capacity adjusting circuit adjusts the capacity between each cell by discharging the cell of which voltage exceeds a bypass operating voltage. At a capacity adjustment mode, the voltage of each cell is risen by charging a battery pack until the average voltage of the cells reaches a target voltage Vtar. At the capacity adjustment mode, it is determined whether idling can be stopped or not. If it is determined that the idling can be stopped, the target voltage at capacity adjustment is changed to Vtar+Vplus. The cell voltage when idling is stopped is risen to a sufficiently high voltage value as compared with the bypass operating voltage, and the idling can be stopped even at the capacity adjustment mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
