Production of carbon molecular sieves comprises inert atmosphere microwaving of carbon fibres modifying the porosity of the carbon

The production of carbon molecular sieves has e.g. carbon fibres heated in a microwave oven under inert atmosphere, to increase economy. This transforms the fibres into the sieves through modification of their porosity, for separation of e.g. oxygen-nitrogen mixtures.
