<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet metal retainer seal in which, when an oil pan of an engine is connected with a lower fold-back part of a sheet metal retainer, the retainer and the oil pan are screwed up with ease without the need for welding. <P>SOLUTION: Burning of tapped connection holes which are formed in the lower fold-back part 13 is performed so as to secure sufficient screw parts of the lower fold-back part 13 of the sheet metal retainer 10 tightly connected with the oil pan by screws. A reinforcing plate having screw parts is connected to an inner peripheral face of the lower fold-back part 13, and the oil pan 20 and the sheet metal retainer 10 are screwed up with special nuts and stud bolts which have no screw part at the center thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
