<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of PQQGDH, especially holo-form PQQGDH which is an active form, and/or the PQQGDH containing an improved proportion of the holo-form PQQGDH. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the recombinant PQQGDH is characterized by the addition of an organic solvent, especially mono-ols to a medium in the production of a recombinant protein by using a host having a PQQ-producing ability.
