<p>The device has an ultrasonic transmitter to transmit ultrasonic waves in the direction of an ultrasonic receiver. A sensor (1) is inserted into drill holes of a rock mass and an elastically non-converging medium (4) on which ground pressure of the rock mass is exerted. The sensor determines the ground pressure based on the reflections of the waves in an ultrasonic path formed between the transmitter and the receiver.</p>
