PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of preventing lubricating oil from being diluted by refrigerant gas, without enlarging the size of the compressor. SOLUTION: In the compressor 10 provided with a housing 11 internally having space m, a compression mechanism 12 arranged in the housing 11, for compressing a refrigerant taken in the space m, and a rotary shaft 13 for driving the compression mechanism 12, a partition wall 151 for partitioning the space m into rotary shaft side space and housing side space is provided in the housing 11, and the housing 11 side space is used as an oil sump 15a for storing the lubricating oil.
