PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect information related to incoming vehicles, such as information about waiting queues for facilities or the like, by obtaining the paths of travel of vehicles using a simple installation. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle machine 60 of the vehicle 50 has the function of storing the paths of travel. The on-vehicle machine 60 sends data about the paths of travel once it becomes communicable with an on-street information collection machine 10 installed at the entrance of facilities such as a parking lot. Data on the paths of travel received by the on-street information collection device 10 are supplied to an information collection device 20. A path-of-travel specifying part 22 and a departure area specifying part 23 specify the path of travel of each vehicle and the departure area of each vehicle, respectively, and a waiting queue specifying part 24 specifies the course of the waiting queue, its end position and waiting time, whereby pieces of information collected are created. The pieces of information collected are supplied to a traffic information utilization device 70 via an information service device 40 and used in the display of the information about the waiting queue to the facilities and in the analysis of incoming vehicles, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
