Plug assembly to automatically stop water flow from a faucet A plug assembly, to automatically stop water flow from a faucet, comprises a casing 10, a cylinder (20 figure 2) received in the casing 10, an isolator 40, a top ring 50, a control rod 60, a push rod 70 and an adjusting device. In use, the casing 10 is screwed into a faucet and water is prevented from flowing through a hole 51 in the top ring 50 by a sealing ring 91. Moving the push rod 70 upwards causes a friction ring 80, the control rod 60, sealing ring 91 and a screw 90 to be moved upwards relative to the top ring 50 (see figure 4). This opens a gap between the sealing ring 91 and the top ring 50, and allows water to flow through hole 51 and out through the assembly. Water pressure applied to a head of the screw 90 and the sealing ring 91 gradually cause the control rod 60 and push rod 70 to move downwards, overcoming a frictional force between the friction ring 80 and an inner periphery of a through hole 41, until sealing ring 91 blocks the flow of water through hole 51. The duration for which water is allowed to flow can be adjusted by turning screw 90, such that the deformation of friction ring 80 between an annular stop 63 and the push rod 70 is varied. A consequent variation in the friction between the friction ring 80 and the inner periphery of the through hole 41 increases or decreases flow duration.
