<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information code reader capable of greatly reducing reading time. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU that constitutes the information code reader determines a position where an information code is included (step S5) if a CMOS image sensor executes a "line-skipping scan" (step S2).
