<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store data in an external memory under very secure conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The data to be stored in the external memory 4 are subjected to an encryption process according to a storage position where the data are to be stored, so that, for example, even if the data encrypted are copied from the external memory 4 to another storage medium, the encrypted data cannot be decrypted unless the storage position of the data in the external memory 4 is recognized.
