Double slip points of the parent invention are modified in that the four switch tongues are provided by two unitary double switch tongues 36 and 37 mounted on the conducting plates 12 and 11 respectively and shiftable transversely to the direction of travel. The tongues 36 and 37 are mounted on sliders 34 and 45 respectively which have pins 40 and 41 passing through the base and engaging divergent slots 42 and 41 (see Figure 2) in the U- shaped switch slider 43, movement of which along the direction of the points changes the setting of the points. 51 is a guide member attached to 43 and runs in a slot in the base, while 44 is guide member fixed to the base running between the arms of slider 43. 48 is a diamond shaped locating means attached to the base and is engaged by the spherical parts 46 and 47 of the slider 43, the two arms of the slider being held together against the locator 48 by spring 49. |
