PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a joint device capable of suitably attaching an auxiliary body in a chair provided with the auxiliary body capable of functioning as a backrest, an armrest or a small table. SOLUTION: The joint device 23 is provided with a first bearing 29, an auxiliary bearing 30, a second bearing 32, a spindle 31, a lock pin 33 and a spring 34. The first bearing 29 is fixed to a column 5, and the lock pin 33 is fixed to the back surface of the auxiliary body 4 through a receiving seat 35. The auxiliary body 4 can freely select a brought-down attitude and a horizontal attitude by being turned centering the spindle 31 but can not shift to the horizontal attitude unless it is in the state of being extended long in a horizontal direction in the brought-down attitude.
