<p>A phosphorescent light having a phosphorescent tube provided with improved persistence characteristics while ensuring a specified strength and external appearance characteristics as the external finishing material of a lighting source, characterized in that a plastic layer impregnated with a phosphorescent material is formed into a cylindrical shape for use as a phosphorescent tube, exciting light generating sources are disposed on the inner surface of the phosphorescent tube at constant intervals, and the concentration of the phosphorescent material is inclined from the inner surface toward the outer surface of the phosphorescent tube. Preferably, it is characterized in that an average value of the concentration of the phosphorescent material is up to 20%, the concentration of the phosphorescent material at the inner surface of the phosphorescent tube is at least 30%, and the plastic layer is at least 5mm thick.</p> |
