Shift Control Device For V-Belt Type Continuously Variable Transmission

The controller has a feedback control unit that determines whether or not a correlation between pressures from two pressure sensors that are supplied to a cylinder chamber of two drive pulleys is actually an impossible relation. A ratio change control valve is provided to switchover to open control while preventing feedback if the correlation is actually the impossible relation showing a fault of fixed output voltage. An independent claim is also included for a method of controlling a transmission controller of a v-belt type continuously variable automatic transmission.
