摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device having good power generation efficiency capable of being formed in compact and small size as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell device C1 adopts a fuel cell using liquid fuel as fuel [for example, a direct methanol type fuel cell (DMFC) 3 of MEA structure]. In the fuel cell device C1, the liquid raw fuel (methanol contained liquid in the case of DMFC) is diluted by a diluting solution and the diluted liquid fuel is supplied. A fuel supply unit 1 is laminated through a porous plate 13 on a fuel electrode 32 of the fuel cell main body 3, and a second pump unit 2 is laminated on an air electrode 32 of the fuel cell. The fuel supply unit 1 comprises a fuel pool chamber 120 opened to the porous plate 13 and a first pump unit 1P. The pump unit 1P supplies the diluted liquid fuel to the pool chamber 120 while mixing and diluting the liquid raw fuel and the diluting solution, and further, supplies it uniformly to the whole of the fuel electrode 32 through holes 131 of the porous plate 13. The pump unit 2 recovers the liquid (water that can be used as the diluting solution in DMFC) or the like generated by the electrochemical reaction in the fuel cell 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
