PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technology capable of realizing the reduction of database scale used in evaluation while properly evaluating an operation state of a showcase, and easily dealing with the data. SOLUTION: The database 60 of this operation state evaluating device 50 stores a data score of data point measured with respect to the operation state under a specific operating condition of the showcase 1, an average value of the data point, and a parameter of an evaluation formula for evaluating the data point. In a case when the operation state evaluating device 50 newly acquires the new data point under the same operating condition, an evaluation formula calculating part 62 calculates a new evaluation formula on the basis of the data score of the past data point stored in the database 60, the average value of the data point and the parameter information of the evaluation formula for evaluating the data point, and an updating part 64 updates the data number, the average value and the parameter of the evaluation formula stored in the database 60 on the basis of the new data point and the new evaluation formula.
