PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling method of air intake to an air conditioned closed space, capable of eliminating influence of cross sensitivity to H/C type gas of an NOXdetecting element. SOLUTION: The controlling method of air intake to the air conditioned closed space 16 includes a step generating a plurality of sensor output voltage by using one NOXsensor 28. An NOXoutput voltage ratio is calculated from the sensor output voltage. When the NOXoutput voltage ratio is equal to a predetermined threshold value or exceeds the threshold value, decision is carried out.
