<p>The blood processing apparatus (1), for the separation of its components, has a housing (2) with two bottles (3,4). The first bottle has a number of chambers (6,8,11), for the blood to be introduced under pressure into the first chamber through an entry (5) and pass through super-hydrophobic filters into the successive chambers. The first filter (7) has a porosity of 150 mu m, the second filter (10) a porosity of 10 mu m and the third filter (13) a porosity of 3 mu m. A fourth filter (16), with a porosity of 1.5 mu m and 2 mu m leads to a lower housing (17) for the second bottle. Both bottles have outlet openings (15,18). The chambers have openings (9,12) for the removal of the separated blood components.</p> |
