The invention provides an antenna device (10), comprising: an antenna body (11) including a conductor (15), an equivalent circuit of said conductor comprising an inductive component (L) and a resistive component (R) in a series connection, wherein a frequency adjusting circuit (12) including at least a parallel circuit (16) of a switching element (D1) and a passive element (C12) is connected to said conductor (15) of said antenna body (11). The antenna body (11) is connected in series with said frequency adjusting circuit (12). The invention enables to provide a compact antenna device for use in a mobile communication apparatus that performs transmission and reception on frequencies in a wide range.
