VIDEO IMAGE SWITCHER, VIDEO IMAGE TRANSMISSION NETWORK AND SWITCHING CONTROL METHOD OF VIDEO IMAGE SWITCHER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image switcher with which connection between pieces of video communication equipment is optionally set by providing sub-switchers which mutually independently operate corresponding to a plurality of pieces of video communication equipment. SOLUTION: The video image switcher 160 is connected to sub-switchers 301 to 30n to be mutually independently operate via a transmission path 130, corresponding to the plurality of pieces of video communication equipment 201 to 20n. The sub-switchers 301 to 30n are provided with matrix parts 401 to 40n and control parts 501 to 50n which controls connection/disconnection in the matrix parts 401 to 40n and performs switching for preventing connection with undesired video communication equipment and switching without being influenced by connection/disconnection by other video communication equipment between the plurality of pieces of video communication equipment (201 to 20n) connected to the video image switcher 160.
