<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display device such as a liquid crystal display panel having a highly fine pattern by applying color liquid droplets onto a prescribed area to be applied in an ink jet method. <P>SOLUTION: A bank layer 10 with a plurality of areas to be applied 20 are disposed side by side therein is formed by intersecting a plurality of longitudinal and lateral banks 11, 12 on a surface of a glass substrate 6. A first coated area in which a thin first coated film 15 is formed, a second coated area in which a thick second coated film 16 is formed and a first area to be applied 21 in which a coated film is not formed are adjacent one another in each area 20. A film thickness reducing process removes the first coated film 15 to form a second area to be applied 22 after applying color liquid droplets R1 into the first area 21 to form a color thin film R. Next to this, a color thin film G is formed by applying color liquid droplets G1 into the second area 22. Furthermore, the reducing process removes the second coated film 16 to form a third area to be applied 23 and forms a color thin film B by applying color liquid droplets B1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
