PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the vibration of an outer tub of a washing machine becomes abnormally large if blocks of laundry are disposed eccentrically opposite from an axis, apart from each other in the axial direction, even if the eccentric load caused by the laundry gathered to one side in the circumferential direction of the drum is small. SOLUTION: The speed data obtained based on rotation pulses are divided every 120 data during the period when the rotation speed of a drum of the washing machine is increased at a constant target acceleration from 160 rpm to 300 rpm, and an increase integrated value Xn and a decrease integrated value Yn reflecting the speed variation on the whole during the period are found respectively (S41). When the integrated values Xn and Yn exceed 100 (S44: Yes), and when the total sumΣX1 andΣY1 of the integrated values Xn and Yn respectively exceed 2,000 (S45: Yes), it is determined that the opposite eccentricity exceed a range of allowance, and the rotation speed is reduced to unwind the laundry (S52).
